چکیده

We examine the existence of nonlinear modes and their temporal dynamics, in arrays split-ring resonators, using a fractional extension Laplacian evolution equation. find closed-form expression for dispersion relation as function exponent well an exact critical coupling between rings, beyond which no magnetoinductive wave can exist. also low-lying families bulk surface bifurcation diagrams. Here phenomenology is similar all exponents resembles what has been observed other discrete equations, such DNLS. The propagation initially localized magnetic excitation always ballistic, with `speed' that computed form exponent. For given exponent, it increases increase up to value, ballistic speed could diverge inside interval $[0,1]$. Examination modulational instability shows tends where decay proceeds via formation filamentary structures merge eventually pure radiation. dynamical selftrapping around but degree trapping linear limit. This decrease be explained by near-degeneracy considerations.

Nonlinear magnetic metamaterials.

We study experimentally nonlinear tunable magnetic metamaterials operating at microwave frequencies. We fabricate the nonlinear metamaterial composed of double split-ring resonators where a varactor diode is introduced into each resonator so that the magnetic resonance can be tuned dynamically by varying the input power. We demonstrate that at higher powers the transmission of the metamaterial ...

Travelling Waves in Nonlinear Magnetic Metamaterials

In this article, a model of one-dimensional metamaterial formed by a discrete array of nonlinear resonators is considered. The existence and uniqueness results of periodic and asymptotic travelling waves of the system are presented. The existence and the stability of asymptotic waves are also computed and discussed numerically. J. Diblík Department of Mathematics, Faculty of Electrical Engineer...

Knotted solitons in nonlinear magnetic metamaterials.

We demonstrate that nonlinear magnetic metamaterials comprised of a lattice of weakly coupled split-ring resonators driven by an external electromagnetic field may support entirely new classes of spatially localized modes--knotted solitons, which are stable self-localized dissipative structures in the form of closed knotted chains. We demonstrate different topological types of stable knots for ...

Self-focusing and envelope pulse generation in nonlinear magnetic metamaterials.

The self-modulation of waves propagating in nonlinear magnetic metamaterials is investigated. Considering the propagation of a modulated amplitude magnetic field in such a medium, we show that the self-modulation of the carrier wave leads to a spontaneous energy localization via the generation of localized envelope structures (envelope solitons), whose form and properties are discussed. These r...

Discrete dissipative localized modes in nonlinear magnetic metamaterials.

We analyze the existence, stability, and propagation of dissipative discrete localized modes in one- and two-dimensional nonlinear lattices composed of weakly coupled split-ring resonators (SRRs) excited by an external electromagnetic field. We employ the near-field interaction approach for describing quasi-static electric and magnetic interaction between the resonators, and demonstrate the cru...
